Visual identity for research projects and proposals

Client: European Commission DG ENER + RESPED Project
Projects: Citizen-led Renovation (2023) and RESPED

Two very different projects. One thing in common: the visual identity had to work hard across a lot of formats and audiences.

The Challenge

Citizen-led Renovation — working within institutional constraints

The brief was a flagship EU initiative empowering communities to lead energy renovations across four pilot countries. Strict European Commission guidelines. A multilingual, international team. Four different national contexts. I delivered the full brand system: logo, colour palette, PowerPoint templates, factsheet layouts, newsletter design, website assets, social media visuals, and roll-ups. Every asset was adapted to the needs of each pilot country while staying fully compliant with EC communication standards. Visuals were built with diverse representation across all materials.

RESPED: building an identity from scratch

When there is more freedom, I build the whole visual world. For RESPED, that meant logo, colour system, icons, flyers, roll-ups, presentation slides, a short project film, reporting templates, and website structure and imagery — a complete visual identity for a research project that needed to look credible, distinct, and alive.

The Impact

Two projects, two briefs, two very different constraints. Both delivered on time, within their respective institutional and creative requirements, ready to use across print, digital, and social.
