Whether it’s through workshops, community meetings, or citizen surveys, finding ways to make the process inclusive and engaging is key. And ultimately, when the community feels like they have a stake in the solution, they’re more likely to work together to build a more resilient future.

In April 2024, I had the privilege of joining WAUW Workshops to organise an inspiring day in Kortrijk, Belgium, as part of the Floraliën side event. Normally held in Gent, Floraliën extended its reach to Kortrijk this year, and with it came “Jong Tuin Labo” — a vibrant gathering of young people, blooming ideas, and hands-on workshops.
